Goûts de Luxe Inc. (“Goûts de Luxe”, “we”) takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect on goutsdeluxeinc.com and through our activities (sale of Pick-Lize Deluxe and VivOlio dressing, catering and event decoration), why we collect it, how we protect it and what your rights are. It is written in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person with the highest authority at Goûts de Luxe Inc. (the president) acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question, request or complaint:
- Email: info@goutsdeluxeinc.com or goutdeluxeinc@gmail.com
- Phone: 514 653-2197
- Address: Goûts de Luxe Inc., Montréal, Québec, Canada
Information we collect
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and content of your message.
- Newsletter: email address.
- Orders, quotes and bookings (by phone, text, WhatsApp or email): name, contact details, delivery or event address, date, number of guests, and any dietary preferences or restrictions you choose to share.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, automatically recorded in our web host’s logs for the security and proper operation of the site.
We only collect the information needed for the purposes below. We do not sell your personal information.
Why we use it
- To answer your questions and quote requests.
- To process, prepare and deliver your orders and provide our catering and decoration services.
- To send you our newsletter if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To keep the site secure and running properly.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Consent
By sending us your information, you consent to its use for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the person in charge; this may, however, prevent us from answering certain requests. Information about a person under 14 is only collected with the consent of the person having parental authority.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses no advertising cookies and no tracking or profiling tools for marketing purposes. It only uses:
- a functional cookie that remembers your language (French, English, Spanish or Haitian Creole);
- WordPress session cookies, used only by the people who manage the site.
The retailer map displays OpenStreetMap tiles; your browser then shares your IP address with OpenStreetMap servers to display the map. Links to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp take you to those platforms, which apply their own policies.
Sharing with third parties and outside Québec
We only share your information with the people and service providers who need it for the purposes described, and only as much as necessary:
- our web host, which hosts the site and its data;
- our email service (Google Gmail), which receives contact form messages;
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to write to us that way;
- the partner handling VivOlio dressing orders, for orders placed at its number;
- authorities, when required by law.
Some of these providers may store information outside Québec. Before any such transfer, we assess that the information will be adequately protected, and we govern confidentiality and security by contract whenever possible.
Retention
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for: messages and quote requests, up to 2 years after our last exchange; order and billing information, for the period required by tax laws (generally 6 years); newsletter subscriptions, until you unsubscribe. It is then securely destroyed or anonymized.
Security
We take reasonable security measures to protect your information: access limited to the people who need it, password-protected accounts and regular site updates. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information as required by law, and we keep a register of such incidents.
Your rights
At any time, by written request to the person in charge, you may:
- access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy, including in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from the newsletter;
- ask us to stop disseminating information or to de-index a link, in the cases provided by law.
We answer requests in writing within 30 days. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our answer, please contact the person in charge first, then you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our activities or in the law. The current version is always published on this page with its update date.
